The DEA is transferring Marinol (dronabinol) from Schedule II to Schedule III.

This will make it easier for patients to get synthetic THC for nausea and vomiting from chemotherapy...or for anorexia and weight loss associated with AIDS.

Marinol has a low abuse potential...probably due to its slow onset. It doesn't produce a quick "high" like marijuana.
